lax, -----Includes a very rare Dylan song-----, "Am I Your Stepchild?", There are only a few live recordings of this unreleased song played during the 1978 tour., Also known as "You Treat Me Like A Stepchild" or simply "Stepchild"., The song was eventually recorded by Soul legend Solomon Burke in 2002., Dylan's original version is faster and has different lyrics., It seems that Bob tried to develop the song during his '78 concerts, but he has never released a studio version of this song., Recorded by the Los Angeles tape eXchange (LAX), A group of friends that recorded around Los Angeles from the middle 1970's into the early 90's., The core included John as the engineer while Mark (the B-Man) and Mike (the flying M) held the microphones., On occasions there were others including Dave Fresh and Ron G. who joined the core in 1980., Sue snuck the deck into the venues and without her help these recordings would not have been possible., This same tape was shared back in 2008 by my partner Mark (deadbman)., That was from his first generation cassette > standalone CD recorder (unknown transfer equipment), We each made copies of the master and this is from my first generation R2R and has never been shared before., Source:, 2 Sennheiser MKH-404tu Microphones > Teac PC-10 w/ Dolby, This copy: (1981)- re-copied using my new Revox, Akai GX-570 DII w/ Dolby > TEAC AN-180 > Revox B-77 @ 3 3/4 ips using Maxell UDXL 35-90B tape, Transfer: (2016), Revox B-77 > TEAC AN-60 > Korg MR2000-S @ 1 bit 5.6 MHZ DSDIFF, Mastering: (2017), AudioGate (24-96) > iZotope RX4 advanced & Har-Bal 3.0 > CD Wave > AudioGate Aqua (16-44) > TLH (flac level 8), Jewel box artwork created for this project by ethiessen1 - many thanks for these excellent covers!

bittorrent download 03/17; cdr split not specified; probably same recording as LB-3738 based on same crowd talking at end of t4 and end of t24 but do not hear the clapping on this one as prominently as on that one; in comparison on t23 that has a harsher sound; in comparison on t3 this has a little harsher fuller sound; excellent sound [A-]
