After talking to a friend whose version was riddled with the same digi-noise I came to discover the digi-noise was introduced by the taper himself when transferring from the DAT Master. I guess this has something to do with certain DAT machines because soon after this I come to find out that another friend of mine had done another DAT transfer from the taper's DAT Master and that my friend's DAT machine did not introduce the same digi-noise that was so prevalent on the previous transfer. Now because I have remastered this (I found even free of digi-noise the recording for my tastes was quite muddy) and I know there are those who would prefer getting a master untampered with I am including both the master as it was received from my friend (yes obviously we are talking now about the digi-noise free version) as well as the Mad Dog Remaster I have done and below will include mp3 samples of both the original and the remaster. Again this is an astonishing performance not to be missed and now that we can hear it without the digi-noise it can really be enjoyed in all its naked wonder! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS!!! Charlespoet One more thing about this recording/performance with or without the digi-noise - with or without the remastering this still is not a perfect recording (if such a thing even exists) meaning I noticed with Bob's vocal something strange happening (please refrain from the usual diatribe about Bob's voice) which may not even be from the recording itself but could have been on account of some technical strangeness happening live that night (having not been present I haven't a clue). Now what I am talking about is not very in your face out front (my ears hear it more on the last couple songs of the set, but even than I do not find it distracting - not like the digi-noise which was just plain awful) but still I am mentioning it because it is so easy to become spoiled with all the INCREDIBLE recordings as of late that are emerging but hey this recording is from a 1992 performnace and I did actually see him during this year and other early nineties shows and I never remember the sound being all that great so a recording like this is absolutely Heavensent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
