=================== =================== =================== === bd1990-02-08-hg.info.lbp51.txt =================== =================== =================== Bob Dylan Hammersmith Odeon London, UK February 8, 1990 OVER YOUR SENSES YOU HAVE NO CONTROL Holy Grail Version By kind request of "mi buen amigo" Blindwilly. As I tried to explain on a comment I posted on the first torrent I made of this same filset in 2007-12-13, this is coming from a Charlespoet torrent from 2005-10-29, a pack of Holy Grail versions from 1990 titled "Complete_Paris_90_London_2_7_8_90_Holy_Grails". Charlespoet extraction of low gen disks he received from Kisseber had the same flaws that were reported to be repaired on LB-1271, so they might have preceeded LB-1271 version (as the actual LB review said it was already fixed: "small digi pops d2t14 1:49, 2:52, 2:54 were all repaired in cooledit"). I downloaded Charles torrent and worked on it to fix a few of the most relevant problems I found on that copy. This is the fixed copy I produced myself. So the actual lineage should be: Kisseber low gen Audio Disks (Holy Grail) > wav (Charlespoet CDDA extraction with flaws described as repaired on LB-1271 review) > flac (flac 1.1.1) > wav (flac 1.1.3) > wav (Adobe Audition 1.0) > flac (Flac 1.1.3 - align on SB - level 8 - verify on) Enjoy! Luisbp51 (Hungercity September 12, 2013) ================== ORIGINAL INFO FILE ================== Bob Dylan Hammersmith Odeon London, UK February 8, 1990 Holy Grail Version Got this one at Dime as part of a big pack of five shows from 1990. Was described as LB-1271 but md5 checksums I obtained from my downloaded fileset didn't really match those of the LB archive. In fact those are shnf while these were flac. There was a semi-gap on left channel d1t02 @ 4:11 which is not reported to be at LB-1271. So I decided not to care about identity of the fileset (flac fingerprints) and managed to repair the gap I found. I respected the flacs for disc 2 except for track 14 where I heard clicks clearly visible at the spectral view in its waveform that were easy to clean. Disc 1 had only the mentioned flaw, but once I had to modify a few samples from d1t2 had to align on sector boundaries all the rest, as well, so I guessed d1 flacs would change since then. Fortunately, as I carefully patched a small number of samples from one channel to another without editing anything at all, the resulted wav file had no sector boundaries error origined. Consequently there are only 3 flac files different now from my original download in this set, d1t02, because of the gap elimination, and last two tracks on d2 after editing the clicks on d2t14 and align on sector boundaries. Did also rename them all from Track 1 to Track 9, giving the following names instead: Track 01 to Track 09, on both discs. Thanks to Charlespoet, the original seeder whom I did grab it from, and kisseber who was actually supplier of the audio disks where this set comes from (as Charles did state). Small semi-gap on left channel d1t02 @ 4:11.999 repaired by patching 13 samples from the opposite channel. Clicks d2t14 @ 1:49.415, 2:52.043 & 2.54.909 were easily micro-patched, but just a fragment of a single sample in each one had to be eliminated to make it as smooth as it gets. Light diginoise on d2t06 @ 0:42.250 & 0:47.730 will have to remain as it was, as I couldn't find a way to solve the problem without damaging the sound in the recording. Lineage: Kisseber's low gen audio disks > Charlespoet > wav (Unknown extraction) > wav (cooledit: digipops repair) > Flac (unknown software) flacs on d1 > wav (Flac Frontend 1.1.3) > d1t02.wav (Adobe Audition 1.0 - gap removed) > flac (Flac Frontend 1.1.3 - align on SB / just d1 - level 8 - verify on) Filling first of my good buddy Valentin requests. Luisbp51 seed at HC. December 2007 Enjoy! ORIGINAL TEXT FILE (set_info.txt) AND BOTH ORIGINAL FFP's (flac.txt) ARE ALSO INCLUDED. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ THESE ARE FRAGMENTS OF THE ORIGINAL INFO FILE THAT COULD STILL BE OF ANY INTEREST FOR SOMEBODY, CONCERNING THIS TORRENT: This evening I found the last two shows from the '90 Hammersmith Residency (no worries I will be getting the rest of them and in the meantime perhaps some other beatific soul could post the first four Hammersmith's) plus the complete '90 Paris Residency -- all of them Holy Grails! I very much want to thank Chuck for sending me these explosive shows in the first place. His generosity, as so many of us already know, is truly inspiring (like Bob's music!!!). Anyone out there with a copy of the Bauldie article about these shows please email me a copy - THANK YOU!!!!!!! charlespoet@adelphia.net DESCRIPTION OF EACH SHOW UPLOADED BY CHARLES ON THE WHOLE PACK WAS PROVIDED HERE.
