It ain't Me Babe Notes: - Intro came in progress, I applied a fade in. - The mix is intitially not too great but by Lay Lady Lay settles into a very warm audience recording. - The unfortunate cuts in both Watching the River Flow and Maggie's Farm were faded out. - Crowd before Mama, You've Been... was faded in. Tale of the Tape: This analog came from the estate of Guy Gimbrone (RIP) of Roscoe, IL. This tape was not labelled as first gen. but I am calling it so for a few reasons. First of all, there is very little hiss to the recording. Secondly, the way that Watching the River Flow was allowed to cut and the fact that side B came in with crowd right away leads me to believe that the taper just ran this straight from his DAT and and didn't bother to try and cut the tape in such a way as to get a complete show. Thirdly, I remember Guy saying that he sat right by the taper, and they talked about the rig being run (Guy was a taper himself) and the taper promised to send Guy a copy, so I know it's direct from the taper himself. It seems that the taper did not bother to put the encores on a seperate tape as this tape was not labelled as "1" or anything, so until a complete copy emerges, this is all we have. I remember Guy telling me about the person you will hear prior to Series of Dreams (which I believe is it's last known performance as of 10/24/04), and I think that may be Guy you hear chuckling as the person freaks out. This was also the show from which Bob donated $20,000 to Page School in Rockford to help them rebuild their playground, Bob mentions this before the band intros. Apparently BOb read about the lack of funds in the paper and decided unbeknownst to anyone to donate the money. The check was received by Federal Express a few days after the performance. This seed dedicated to the memory of Guy Gimbrone, I miss you meatball. seed prepared the week of 10/18/04 - 10/24/04. bd1994-04-12d1t01.flac:e9c3c3ea6a8106cc0074b06ef2b9df3f bd1994-04-12d1t02.flac:16169ca5c59f76416e5583bf5c6de01b bd1994-04-12d1t03.flac:4aec1be09416d1b8be19e21bbb55b404 bd1994-04-12d1t04.flac:552b083d66682f247283cea35155b5c7 bd1994-04-12d1t05.flac:c233de097d1209e77b7e591572335e16 bd1994-04-12d1t06.flac:d070ed913d4165b065f4bc00d8696aa6 bd1994-04-12d1t07.flac:3461045025fc8ace062b2a8d74bfa06d bd1994-04-12d2t01.flac:43846ddaf23ba36b1a7ebe890c845742 bd1994-04-12d2t02.flac:7de2a20c8eed12350ddd70c0820edf6a bd1994-04-12d2t03.flac:a2aa54e6796d7dc553ee5fb219fb88a3 bd1994-04-12d2t04.flac:772eb66fdba8ebe9ad4bc3b7fa4bf007 bd1994-04-12d2t05.flac:8d69be20e8e7fa325fdc8f9803495c2a bd1994-04-12d2t06.flac:fb8bd7cb88c7da65235612ae061c2e9e bd1994-04-12d2t07.flac:a12b53d25ef669602bd6f0aae4023554 bd1994-04-12d2t08.flac:9dd692799f227517899366e88bbf261d
