Bob Dylan, 11/25/64, San Jose, 2CDR LB-2867, (71min+29min), version "a"; also, Santa Barbara (Dec. 7, '64), San Francisco (Nov. 27, '64), These recordings aren't for everybody. They are audience concert recordings, primitive by today's, standards. The sound is distant and echoey, and there is noise sounds to be from adjusting/, bumping the recorder or microphone. The performances, however, are worth giving a listen, imho, particularly "Gates of Eden" and "It's All Right, Ma" and "Tambourine Man" on disc 1. Bob really, has the audience in his pocket--you can hear their delighted responses to "WWIII," "John Birch,", and "If You Gotta Go." (He was pretty funny in those days.), As I said, this isn't for everybody, The Bob Blackmar radio interview, a 13+ minute track, is virtually unintelligible, but you can, make out some of Bob's characteristic sparring with the interviewer; bittorrent download 06/05; the 11/25/64 has little above 16k and although it has less hiss and less rumbling than turbo remaster, the turbo remaster has much better vocals sound; the 11/27/64 does not match prevous in eac but very closely resembles the previous version in sound, cooledit wav and spectral views; (did not listen all of this one) Disc 1:, Civic Auditorium, San Jose, California, 25 November 1964, 1., The Times They Are A-Changin', 2., Talking John Birch Paranoid Blues, 3., To Ramona, 4., Gates Of Eden, 5., If You Gotta Go, Go Now, 6., It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding), 7., Mr. Tambourine Man, 8., A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall, 9., Talking World War III Blues, 10., Don't Think Twice, It's All Right, (Bob Dylan (guitar, harmonica and vocal)., Incomplete mono audience recording, 55 minutes.), 11.
