BOB DYLAN - BBC TV Specials Recorded June 1st 1965 "SPEED CORRECTED" Bob Dylan BBC Studios London, England June 1st 1965 A version of this recording was torrented here (Hunger City) recently taken from a commercial bootleg (Black Dog) which had been sourced from the original Torrent on, I believe Dimeadozen. Speed varied from track to track and none were correct although an attempt had been made by MM who had the original source CDR (see original notes below). This torrent is sourced from a CDR recieved from MM before the shows were torrented or bootlegged. The improvements I have made are speed correcting each track individually, as this is what MM "attempted" with his original copy. I used "At The BEEB", "1965 Revisited" and my original "Vinyl Bootleg" to compare speeds. Using Soundforge 9 Time Stretch the percentage variations were from 100.42% to 104.17%. Burnt to disc and played back it sounds good to me and pretty much as close as it's likely to get. Playback level was increased by 3.73db. There is a speed fluctuation at the beginning of Track 7 which is on the original tape, no attemt was made to correct this. The recording is in Mono. Transferred from original master tape to MiniDisc then to CD-R. This tape, while in great quality, came in the wrong speed and needed some work before it was listenable. Volume, Speed & pitch corrected in London, U.K. 10th - 12th September 2005 using CoolEdit Pro 2.0. Some additional remastering including fade-in, fade-outs at start & end of disc were done. Noise or hiss reduction has not been performed, in order to best preserve the atmosphere and feel of the original tape which this can sometimes take away.
