Dylan is now 70, and this show takes place around the 50th anniversary
of the recording of his 1st album...those numbers,a bit like the american deficit
are almost impossible for our brains to comprehend
So sure, he ain't gonna sound like he did 50,25,or 5 years ago or even 
the day before yesterday,, but really that's part of the whole point of bob dylan isn't it?
The voice maybe less "sand and glue" these days, more scorched earth and tar
but, just listen to the delivery on "ballad of a thin man" every word crystal clear
and every bit as vital as any of the thousands of times he must've sung it
and, with an extra coat of menace, if anything...
i think we just gotta concentrate a little harder on that voice, maybe
with it's 70 years of extraordinary experience...
