The copies I received in trade @2000 include the following note on the back inlays, which are generic inserts, black typeface on a pale yellow background:
When Jacques van Son bought these ($7000?) he wouldn’t make copies. He did however make a copy onto tape for me as he owed me a favour. In the early days he sold copies for a high price. The British collectors clubbed together for a copy, but IMHO it must have been re-dubbed for those who contributed (so the collectors only had a 2nd gen copy). I transferred my master copy A>D through my AWE64 card and did some minimal noise reduction.
