any of the opening acts' recordings being circulated. at certain shows even the time of the intermission has been recorded, but those tracks will not be circulated. those are: Tübingen, Germany June 21 Lucca, Italy July 01 Torino, Italy July 02 Barcelona, Spain July 04 Madrid, Spain July 06 Lörrach, Germany July 16 ====================================================================================== the equipment used at every show was the SONY PCMM10R with the SONY ECMDS70P microphone directly plugged into the mic socked of the device without any cable extension to avoid any interference (except for tracks 1-3 and 5 in Locarno which were unfortunately recorded with the built-in mics due to some misunderstanding) the first 3 days were recorded on 32GB SanDisk microSD cards, the remainder on 16GB microSD cards since the manual indicated the prefered use of 16GB cards. nevertheless, there has been no problem whatsoever with the 32GB microSD card recordings. ====================================================================================== some of the recordings are marked as -edit- and some as -raw-. the editing merely applies to an amplification of the volume level by between 2 and 4db. some time before the show in Roma started, there was an announcement which i happened to record already. this has also been included & here also the volume level has been raised. of 3 different versions of "Full Moon & Empty Arms" the volume level has also been increased & those are also distributed with this collection. those are the recordings from Lucca, Barcelona & Madrid. it also appears, that in a number of cases the sound level after the intermission was lower than before the intermission. here a correction as only made in one case. in general the tracks "Full Moon & Empty Arms", "Autumn Leaves" & "Forgetful Heart" would be lower in volume than the rest of the songs performed. the beginning of recording the opening act in Wiesen, Austria was caught somewhat offguard, therefore the recording starts right at the beginning of the first song. in Bamberg, June 23rd, 2015, i didn't have the recording device on "hold" & accidentally pressed "stop" during the "Love Sick" performance while i was trying to adjust the volume level, thus that track is also incomplete, otherwise a valuable recording on re-listening to it. ====================================================================================== i would've prefered to distribute this collection as one single circulation since, to me, it represents one single body of recordings done. the first shows were covered recordings, that means the microphone was covered underneath some clothes, partly for concealment, partly due to a breeze as in Mainz, or the heavy rain in Tübingen (which did not affect the equipment at all). during the shows in Locarno as well as Lörrach the microphone was clearly visible & since i stood mostly in the center i also tried to control that both green lights were indicating soundlevel or turn the microphone slightly in order to attain a more balanced recording. still, once preparing the recordings for distribution i found that with most recordings one or the other channel is lesser in the mix. ====================================================================================== The Madrid Recordings have been split, resampled & distributed before by my friend Luis, but i'm going to distribute them here again, excluding the intermission part & leaving some of the Los Lobos tracks together since they came across, to me at least, more as a Medley than separate tracks, besides that, i don't know the titles of some of the tracks. the artwork has been provided by Serge in the meantime as well :-) of the Francesco De Gregori & Ben Harper performances i found setlists online:
