Yesterday (15 August 2015) I decided to do a brand new (improved) transfer of my low gen (1st-2nd?) tape.
High Bias Cassettes > Tascam 102 > Cooledit pro (normalisation only)> CD Wave > TLH.
A quick listen reveals (to my ears) the result is better (sharper / fuller) than the recent Bangor Bizzare Chrome Horse effort.
