The Palais Theatre is a heritage-listed venue in Melbourne's bayside suburb of St Kilda. 
Sadly, this building is in a serious state of disrepair havng had little exterior maintenance work done during its 87-years of operation.
The building has been covered in scaffolding for some time while the Victorian state government who own the building and the local council, who manage it argue over who should pay for the much-needed repairs.
The venue capacity for this show was 2,836.
When Bob's 2014 Australian tour was first announced, two shows at the Palais were advertised (August 18th and 19th). When these sold out, a third then fourth night were added in Melbourne.
A planned 5th show never eventuated as the 4th show on 21 August did not sell out.
Bob previously played at the Palais Theatre on his 1992 Australian tour. On that occassion he played 6 shows there.
